Blair West is supporting a large global corporate company in the search for a CFO for a significant business unit within the group. The business is seeking to appoint a CFO to play a key role in delivering a stretching growth plan that includes strategic acquisitions.

Hospitality is part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, the leading locking solutions provider. Its products are installed in more than 42,000 properties worldwide, securing over 7 million hotel rooms. The business operates globally with 30 direct offices and over 100 distributors. We use advanced technology to offer security and peace of mind to hospitality providers and their guests.

As the CFO for the Hospitality business area within the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including M&A. Your mission will be to develop and implement strategic financial plans to drive the achievement of the company’s overarching goals and objectives. This role will be significantly business-focused and strategic, guiding the economic direction of the organisation.

The opportunity:

• Provide strategic financial leadership by managing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss analysis, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategy.
• Be the financial representative to the Division and Group
• Lead the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, overseeing due diligence, financial planning, scoping, closing, and integration.
• Perform in-depth analyses of liabilities and assets to manage risks effectively. Optimise the business’s working capital efficiency.
•  Advise on long-term business and financial planning, contributing to the development and execution of strategic initiatives, product launches, and new service offerings.
• Establish relationships with senior management to provide financial support to business-wide decision-making. Follow up to ensure financial outcomes are expected.
• Assess and evaluate the organisation’s financial performance, offering insights and recommendations for short-term and long-term growth plans.
• Work with the divisional IT and Finance Shared Service centres to contribute to the best possible systems environment.
• Lead, coach, and communicate with regional and business unit controllers, with matrix reporting responsibilities. Foster a continuous improvement and innovation culture within the finance and accounting teams.
• Oversee compliance efforts within the business segment, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

• A background as a senior financial leader within large, international organisations.
• A high level of strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Experience in building a business-minded, high-performing team.
• Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with financial modelling and data analysis tools expertise.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.
• In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
