Blair West are supporting a highly regarded data consultancy business, in their search to appoint a CEO. We are seeking a CEO to lead an accelerated growth plan as the current CEO and founder steps into a strategic non-executive role that focuses on the core of the business, technology, and solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth to $100m and be responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational functions, driving operational excellence, and implementing change to achieve long-term strategic goals in becoming a world-leading cloud data and AI consultancy.

The company delivers high impact to enterprise customers by building cutting-edge cloud data and AI platforms and implementing innovative use cases. It operates in a strong alliance with a significant cloud vendor and is globally recognised for its know-how and success. The business is growing fast, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, whilst maintaining a laser focus on culture.

The CEO will lead a team of over 200 people in the UK, North America and Northern Europe, expanding the business offering and investing in additional leadership to continue the momentum in a fast-growing market accelerated by the global opportunity in AI and GenAI.

The opportunity:

• Operate the business on a daily basis and lead/mentor a high-performing team.
• Identify areas for improvement and efficiency in an already efficient and high-performing business.
• Collaborate with C-suite to set strategic plans that turn into action and results.
• Drive operational excellence in sales, finance, delivery and talent.
• Communicate effectively internally, with clients and investors.
• Build strong alliances with existing and new tech partners and clients.
• Expand service offerings and delivery capabilities in a fast-moving tech landscape.
• Having assessed the leadership group and operational management team, the CEO will nurture the business’s talent and identify opportunities to bring in external expertise to complement the experience and skills already in the business.
• Integrate various teams through organic growth and acquisitions.
• Play a vital role in implementing a future M&A activity alongside the Founder.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you:

• Have solid experience in a premium consulting environment.
• Have a passion for technology and ai innovation.
• Have experience in creating and executing a KPI-driven strategy.
• Have demonstratable strong evidence of leadership skills, inclusive of creating followership within an established and growing team.
• Are  as comfortable engaging with a c-level client as well as with a junior data engineer.
• Are target-driven and high-energy.
• Have a natural flair to align a multi-functional management team on a day-to-day basis.
• Have a track record of operating in a fast-paced environment, with private equity experience highly sought after.
• Have first-hand experience of the pitfalls of scaling a consultancy business, and knows what “good” looks like.
