Blair West is partnering with Isocom Components, as they look to hire a Finance Manager for the business in a newly created role following their recent investment from Foresight Group.

Reporting directly into the Managing Director, this will initially be a standalone role taking ownership of bringing transactional processing back in-house for the business, while supporting the MD with management accounts production, reporting and analysis. In time, the role will develop line management responsibilities and exposure to more business partnering across operational business units.

The opportunity:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for sign-off.
• Development and production of weekly KPI reports.
• Preparation of month-end reconciliations – debtors, creditors, bank.
• Preparation of month-end schedule – prepayments & accruals, fixed asset register etc.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Payment allocations.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Bank account reconciliations.
• Preparation of draft payment runs.
• Input of purchase invoices and reconciliation against POs.
• Recording of GRNs in Sage Line 50.
• Recording of receipts to the Sales Ledger.
• Issuing of customer statements.
• Assisting MD with analysis work – budget variance, cost, other ad-hoc.
• Payroll processing (may be outsourced).
• Ad-hoc administration work/other duties as required.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you:

• Have commenced their ACCA/CIMA studies, ideally being part-qualified.
• Have experience within an SME environment from a previous role.
• Have a strong knowledge of transactional processing, with a keen eye for process improvement.
• Are comfortable handling their own workload and business partnering across operational teams.
• Have experience producing management accounts.
• Are a strong communicator, both written and verbal.
• Showcase an ability to investigate complex issues to resolution.
• Have the desire to continue professional development as the business grows.
