Blair West are supporting Ashcourt DTV to find a Site Financial Controller. Ashcourt DTV operates a multi-functional site at Newton Aycliffe, and this role is pivotal to ensuring robust financial operations and insightful reporting. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this newly created role will be integral in partnering with site leadership and driving performance.
The opportunity:
• Oversee financial reporting, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, supporting timely and accurate submissions.
• Provide detailed variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and dynamic forecasting updates.
• Drive cost management initiatives by analysing site-specific expenses and partnering with operational teams to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and control frameworks, including oversight of internal audits.
• Lead cash flow management processes, enhancing working capital and strengthening external stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on order book and pipeline reporting to support growth strategies.
• Act as a financial business partner to site management, providing clear, accessible financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders.
• Develop and refine KPI reporting to track and enhance site performance.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you’re someone who has:
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• At least three years of financial management experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site operation.
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles.
• Proficiency in financial software systems, including SAGE 200, Weighsoft, and Qlik.
• Advanced Excel skills, with a track record of presenting complex data clearly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate financial insights to a broad audience.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Experience in managing cash flow and working capital performance.
