Blair West is supporting a well regarded not-for-profit organisation with the hiring of a Senior Management Accountant.

Reporting into the Head of Finance and joining a team of 6, this role will take ownership of the production of management accounts for the business, including analysis and commentary, and assist with strategic decision making by providing insight through financial reporting. They will also look to add value with business partnering opportunities across different internal units.

The opportunity:

• Preparation and production of monthly management accounts, with wider month-end close support.
• Business partner across other parts of organisational structure, setting budgets and monitoring with forecasts and reporting.
• Support with external audit processes.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Management of statutory/regulatory returns, including VAT, FEU, and NSO.
• Wider ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis projects.
• Management of Finance team controls framework, including systems.
• Support in the development of the wider finance team.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you’re:

• Qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA, nearing the end of your studies, or appropriately QBE.
• Experienced in producing monthly management accounts.
• Strong at organising your workload.
• A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
• Detail focused and want to improve processes.
• Strong at working with MS office, particularly Excel.
