Blair West are supporting The Property Franchise Group with the appointment of a Strategic Finance Manager.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this position requires commercial awareness, strategic-level thinking, long-term modelling capability and will include interaction with Senior Management, plc Board Members, external Stakeholders, Group Managing Directors / Operations Managers to assist them in ensuring that long-term business plans are shaped, budgets are achieved; profit is maximised and essential KPI’s are established then delivered.
The role involves working alongside the FD & FP&A Manager to help the group drive growth and profitability across the group businesses, through measuring / monitoring performance.
In addition, the role will involve regular interaction with the CFO, producing internal reports for the plc board (including detailed 5-year modelling) & external analysis / presentations for investors, analysts & potential stakeholders as required.
The opportunity:
- Communicate monthly to senior management / Group MDs on activities, achievements and results versus latest forecast / budget / prior year and ad hoc to external investors / analysts.
- Provide guidance to enhance knowledge / awareness of senior team in financial management to achieve budgeted growth and our long-term business plan.
- Build relationships with key contacts including investors & advisors to drive revenue growth.
- Ability to build mass databases using Power BI and manipulate them to drive out modelling.
- Assist in building & maintaining regular report suites, to assist with our strategic planning.
- Build strong relationships and align the plc board, external contacts (including analysts), Senior Management / MD Team / middle management to key strategies.
- Work with analysts to align their models with our principal forecast assumptions
- Support analyst questions as and when they are raised
- Work to manage analysts to maintain a tight consensus.
- Help execute a robust MI process across the brands ensuring full visibility and transparency.
- Establish modelling based on Plc budget and year-on-year improvement & deliver efficient and transparent data/ communication/ presentations that educate stakeholders of risks / opportunities.
- Implement operational best practices to optimise processes and productivity.
- Manage financial performance and budgetary planning to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor key financial metrics for success and implement corrective actions where required.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives without compromising on quality or customer satisfaction.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- Fully qualified accountant, a strategic commercial thinker capable of producing long-term modelling.
- Strong interpersonal / communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and assess market trends / projections to inform long-term decision-making.
- Excellent EXCEL / PowerPoint skills, with experience in presenting and “telling the story”.
- Power BI knowledge ideal (but training will be provided if required).
- Thorough understanding of finance, and how to drive revenue / profitability.
