Blair West are supporting XTEL, a global leader in enterprise planning and execution solutions for the Consumer Goods industry, to find a Senior Solutions Engineer.

This role sits within the commercial division, partnering closely with enterprise sales teams to support the acquisition of complex, high-value SaaS deals. The position plays a critical role in pre-sales strategy, solution design, and customer engagement, acting as a technical and strategic advisor to senior stakeholders.

The opportunity

  • Own the technical pre-sales lifecycle for enterprise opportunities, supporting the closure of 6- and 7-figure SaaS deals.
  • Partner with sales leaders to qualify opportunities and align customer objectives with XTEL’s TPM, TPO, and RGM platform capabilities.
  • Lead discovery sessions, solution design workshops, and proof-of-value engagements to demonstrate measurable business impact.
  • Deliver compelling, tailored demonstrations and presentations to senior and executive-level audiences.
  • Act as a technical escalation point during the sales process, addressing integration, data, analytics, and architecture considerations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Professional Services, Delivery, and Product teams to ensure accurate scoping and smooth handover post-sale.
  • Contribute to RFP and RFI responses, shaping pre-qualification and solution positioning strategies
  • Represent XTEL at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen market presence and brand credibility.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have

  • A strong track record supporting or influencing the close of large-scale enterprise SaaS deals, ideally within CPG or FMCG environments.
  • Proven experience in implementation of TPx solutions, pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting roles within complex software businesses.
  • Deep technical understanding of enterprise data architectures, analytics platforms, and large-scale data environments.
  • Experience working with technologies such as data lakes, relational data models, and cloud-based analytics tools.
  • The ability to engage credibly with C-suite and senior stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • A consultative selling approach, with strong discovery skills and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience collaborating across sales, delivery, and product teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
