Senior Business Development Manager

Blair West are supporting a leading custom software solutions provider to find a Senior BDM.
This role is a senior, strategically critical hire reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, contributing to business growth through enterprise-scale client engagement and complex digital transformation sales. This is part of a planned expansion within their Business Development Team.
The opportunity:
- Identify, create, and close high-value new business opportunities, leveraging your existing CIO/CTO/CDO network to generate a robust pipeline.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation through to contract signature, orchestrating internal teams to deliver compelling proposals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, diagnosing digital transformation challenges and positioning Leighton as the strategic partner of choice.
- Collaborate with Marketing and internal teams to refine go-to-market strategy, account targeting, and outreach campaigns.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- 5+ years’ experience closing six-figure or enterprise-scale deals in consulting, professional services, or technology-led businesses.
- AWS experience.
- Executive presence with experience engaging directly with C-suite buyers including CIOs, CTOs, and CDOs.
- Technical fluency in enterprise digital programmes, with the ability to understand complex solutions without needing to code.
- A hunter mentality.
- A collaborative mindset, able to orchestrate cross-functional teams to win complex deals.
