Operations Director

Blair West are supporting a leading ecom business to find an Operations Director.
This fast-growing FMCG e-commerce business has scaled to £50m+ turnover with a strong brand presence and ambitious growth plans.

The business is strengthening its senior leadership structure, and this newly created role will take ownership of all end-to-end operational functions including warehouse, fulfilment, logistics, and customer service.

The opportunity:

• Lead the development and delivery of the operations strategy, ensuring it aligns with commercial goals and supports rapid e-commerce growth.
• Drive high performance across warehousing, logistics, fulfilment, and customer service to ensure exceptional service quality and operational efficiency.
• Oversee warehouse operations including layout optimisation, automation, stock management, and OTIF performance delivery.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, increase productivity, and enhance operational quality.
• Own customer service operations, ensuring exceptional experiences across all digital channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with 3PLs, couriers, and logistics partners to improve reliability and delivery performance.
• Provide senior leadership insight, supporting strategic planning, budgeting, and business decision-making.
• Lead multi-disciplinary operational teams, shaping a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
• Take ownership of the operations P&L, driving cost efficiencies and margin improvement.
• Support due diligence, integration, and investment planning as the business scales.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

• Proven experience as an Operations Director or Senior Operations Leader within a fast-paced FMCG or e-commerce environment (circa £20m+ turnover).
• A strong track record in leading warehouse, fulfilment, logistics, and customer service teams.
• Demonstrable experience in scaling operations within a high-growth environment.
• A background in delivering process improvements, implementing automation, or introducing new systems.
