Blair West is supporting a leading industrial services company, to find a New Business Development Manager.
The business, which is growing organically and by acquisition, provides critical technical services to other ‘industrial’ businesses, primarily in the manufacturing and logistics sectors. In the past 12 months the business has developed genuine momentum in market and is now seeking to capitalise by recruiting an additional high-performing business development professional.
The opportunity:
- Lead on the design and execution of the company’s outbound sales strategy in the Newcastle area.
- Focus on developing the company’s Tyneside customer base, most likely by targeting and establishing relationships with Manufacturing and Logistics sector businesses.
- Enhance and develop market presence through proactive prospecting, networking and relationship building.
- Build ‘trusted advisor’ status with appropriate target customers, providing industry expert guidance and solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Marketing to develop effective promotional materials, presentations and campaigns.
- Represent the business and its services at industry-relevant events, shows and networking groups.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- A demonstrable track record of winning new B2B customers in the manufacturing and logistics sectors.
- A disciplined and pragmatic approach to targeting relevant prospect customers.
- Either a technical background – potentially in engineering – or excellent technical understanding.
- Experience in service, rather than product, selling – ideally repairs/maintenance or other contracted services.
- A collaborative approach with other colleagues in commercial and other functions.
- Motivation to meet and exceed sales targets in a highly professional manner.
