Management Accountant

Blair West are working with an established Services Business based in Newcastle to appoint a part-qualified Management Accountant in a Divisional role.

Supporting a Finance Business Partner, you will focus on improving financial performance and provide insight by looking into revenue and cost control.

The opportunity:

• Support the day to day and monthly accounting cycles, including reporting and forecasting of the financial performance for a key business unit.
• Preparation of financial analysis and reports for monthly reviews.
• Develop a clear understanding of revenue recognition policies and complete sales invoicing reconciliation.
• Prepare Finance reports for Operational teams including presenting financial information to non-finance members of staff.
• Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including rolling forecasts.
• Play a vital part in the future Finance Team development strategy and great place to work initiatives.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you are:

• Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA).
• Experienced in a similar Management Accountant role.
• Able to demonstrate an analytical in mindset with high attention to detail.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledgeable of Oracle (desirable).
• Able to work to timescales and under pressure.
• Able to provide up to 5 years employment history and pass a DBS check.
