Blair West are pleased to be supporting our client, a large global corporate with the search for a CFO for a significant business unit within the group, contributing to over 50% of the Division’s total revenue. The business seeking to appoint a CFO to play a key role in delivering a stretching growth plan, inclusive of strategic acquisitions.
ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions – Hospitality is part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, the world’s leading provider of locking solutions. Hospitality has products installed in more than 42,000 properties worldwide, securing in excess of 7 million hotel rooms. The business operates globally with 30 direct offices and over 100 distributors.
As the Vice President and CFO for the Hospitality business area within the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including M&A. Your mission will be to develop and implement strategic financial plans to drive the achievement of the company’s overarching goals and objectives. This role will be significantly business-focused and strategic in nature, guiding the financial direction of the organisation.
The opportunity:
- Oversee compliance efforts within the business segment, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Provide strategic financial leadership by managing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Be the financial representative to the Division and Group
- Lead the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, overseeing due diligence, financial planning, scoping, closing, and integration.
- Perform in-depth analysis of liabilities and assets to effectively manage risks and optimise the working capital efficiency of the business.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning, contributing to the development and execution of strategic initiatives, product launches, and new service offerings.
- Establish relationships with senior management to provide financial support to business-wide decision-making.
- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization, offering insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plans.
- Work with the divisional IT and Finance Shared Service centres to contribute to the best possible systems environment.
- Lead, coach, and communicate with controllers at the regional and business unit levels, with matrix reporting responsibilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance and accounting teams.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- A background in senior financial leader within large, international organisations.
- A high level of strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Experience in building a business-minded, high-performing team.
- Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
