Blair West is supporting a successful video and media-asset-management business in their search for a Vice-President of Engineering and Product. Leading R&D from the front, you will use your considerable expertise of the sector to drive continued innovation and business growth. Inspiring and motivating your team of experts, you will be commercial and customer focused, and be comfortable working closely with their already impressive customer base.

The opportunity:

• Product Strategy. You will develop, communicate, and maintain a clear product vision, strategy and roadmap that aligns with company goals and objectives.
• Team Management. You will lead, inspire, motivate and develop your team of domain experts team to ensure that customer-centricity and innovation are at the core of everything they do.
• Product Delivery. You will oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring consistently excellent quality of delivery.
• Industry Knowledge. You will use your extensive knowledge and experience of the sector to feel confident and comfortable being face-to-face with a impressive global customer base. You will be customer facing approximately 20% of the time.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have:

• Considerable experience leading an incredible software R&D (Engineering and Product) team.
• A background, or deep understanding of building software for the broadcast industry or video and media-asset-management businesses.
• An understanding of the broadcast media industry and ecosystem, including editing, MAM, and enterprise marketing video organisations.
• A high degree of commercial acumen, and the ability to prioritise to efficiently deliver the greatest results consistently.
• Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication and listening skills, and the curiosity to continually ask ‘Why?’.
