Blair West is supporting Fairstone, a high growth Financial Services organisation as they look to bring in a Transactions Services Manager into their Transactions team.  You will play a critical role in the business as they look to go on a continued acquisition spree.  You role will see you lead and support on due diligence projects.  You will be reporting into the Head of Transaction Services.

The opportunity:

• Preparation of Financial Due Diligence reports for all firms entering both our UK & Irish DBO model, at both the initial and full acquisition stages.
• Responsible for analysing target acquisition firms and producing a report that will be used as part of our internal acquisition approval process.
• Report will typically focus on prior 3 years performance and key value areas.
• Report with validate key assumptions made during the financial modelling.
• Preparation of board approval papers for each acquisition.
• Assistance with the management of acquisition processes including SPA review.
• Preparing and presenting valuation models for quarterly board meetings with partner firms (where we have acquired an initial equity stake).
• Liaising with external finance specialisms (e.g. tax) and reviewing other DD workstreams.
• Assistance with financial modelling for new acquisitions.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you’re someone who:

• Possesses a qualification in ACA, with 3+ years’ experience in professional services.
• Is proficient and confident in using Excel and Powerpoint.
• Has good people management skills, or a desire to move into a people management role.
• Has previous experience with the lower to mid-market M&A, is desireable.
• Is proficient in using Tableau and has a financial services background are both desireable.
