Blair West are supporting True Potential with a new role in the Management Accounting team leading expense control for True Potential Group. Responsibilities include analysing cost centre spend, partnering with stakeholders and collaborating with senior management, FP&A, and reporting teams to support strategic decisions.  The position also contributes to board pack preparation and offers a unique opportunity to enhance cost control and reporting processes across the Group. 

The opportunity:

• Prepare accurate monthly Management Accounts with relevant insights and commentary (P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow). 
• Prepare and review reconciliations to verify the accuracy of the management accounts, and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L. 
• Approval of journals. 
• Continuously monitor financial KPIs, P&L, cash position and balance sheet, identifying variances and recommending areas for improvement. 
• Preparation and review of monthly reporting packs and production and review of ad hoc cost centre reporting as requested. 
• Business partner with the wider business heads for overhead and cost centre reporting and budget/forecast discussions. 
• Assist in the delivery of and consolidation of monthly management accounts. 
• Carry out in-depth analysis to improve the accuracy of cost accruals. 
• Provide support in response to external and internal audit requests. 
• Ad hoc duties as required. 
• Presentation of Group costs to Senior Management at month end. 
• Active in cost control for the wider Group Transformation project. 

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you’re someone who:

• Is a Qualified Accountant or close to completing studies (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW). 
• Has excellent working knowledge of Excel (essential). 
• Has experience in professional services/financial services or businesses of a similar ilk (advantageous). 
• Has a high level of ambition, determination and self-motivation to match the True Potential way. 
• Has experience in people management or mentoring of junior members of the team, with a track record of success in developing individuals. 
• Is a strong management accountant with a desire to partner with other areas of finance to help knit things together. 
• Has experience in presenting to senior management and building relationships across a business. 
• Is experienced in Workday (desirable).
