Management Accountant

Blair West are supporting True Potential Group to find a Management Accountant. As a key member of the Management Accounting team, this role will report directly to the Head of Management Accounting. It plays a pivotal role in managing financial activities to maximise profitability and minimise financial risk, while also supporting business decisions by delivering actionable financial insights. This central position spans cost and revenue functions, collaborating across True Potential’s six subsidiaries, FP&A, and technical accounting teams.
The opportunity:
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, with insightful commentary and analysis.
- Lead budgeting and reforecasting support, ensuring robust financial planning.
- Perform reconciliations and comprehensive variance analysis against budgets and prior years.
- Approve journals and monitor key financial KPIs, identifying variances and recommending improvements.
- Produce monthly reporting packs and provide ad hoc financial reporting as required.
- Act as a trusted business partner for internal teams and business heads, supporting decision-making and cost-centre management.
- Deliver and consolidate management accounts, enhancing accuracy in cost and revenue accruals.
- Collaborate on external and internal audit responses, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Play a critical role in the ongoing rollout and optimisation of the Workday finance system.
- Promote continuous process improvement, enhancing data quality, control, and system efficiency.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you’re someone who:
- Is qualified as an ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or ICAS accountant.
- Has proven experience managing or supervising a team, with a focus on development and performance improvement.
- An expert in producing detailed management accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Has advanced proficiency in Excel and practical knowledge of Workday.
- Has a continuous improvement mindset with a track record of enhancing financial processes and systems.
