Blair West is supporting a PLC headquartered in Newcastle as they look to bring in a Management Accountant on a fixed term contract (could go perm).  This is a well-known, regional PLC with a stellar reputation.

The opportunity:

• Support the Senior Accountant in delivering the monthly management reporting schedules.
• Statutory accounts.
• Support on delivering key statistical analysis, whilst also supporting on a transformation project.
• Work closely with the local country finance leads, delivering accurate and insightful data to help support key decision making and strategy development.
• Work across many areas of finance and receive exposure to senior finance & functional leaders.
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for the business.
• Support both management accounts and statutory reporting, helping to maintain strong internal controls and providing valuable insights that drive informed decisions.
• Assist in preparing monthly group management accounts, providing analysis and commentary on trends and key movement.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations will be part of your day-to-day alongside supporting with periodic balance sheet reviews.
• Support local FCs with budgeting and forecasting.
• Produce financial statements, coordinate with auditors, and provide necessary documentation for audits and tax returns.
• Build strong relationships with regional teams and global departments, such as Tax, Treasury, and Technical Accounting, will be essential to ensuring compliance and accuracy.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you are:

• A Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• A Team player with strong attention to details.
• Happy to work in a Fixed Term Contract arrangement.
• Someone who enjoys problem solving.
