Blair West are working with a growing Professional Services Business based in Newcastle to appoint a part-qualified or newly qualified Management Accountant in a newly created role for the organisation. Supporting ambitious growth plans, you will focus on production of management accounts and provide strategic insight with high-level reporting and analysis.

The opportunity:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports.
• Posting of prepayments, accruals and other month end journals.
• Revenue recognition including WIP reviews.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support year end statutory audit process.
• Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast process.
• Co-ordinating the preparation and submission of monthly client returns.
• Preparation of monthly management reports, and ad-hoc reports for senior stakeholders.
• Assisting with reviewing and maintaining data accuracy within the finance system.
• Maintaining records relating to VAT and completion of VAT returns.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you are:

• A part qualified/fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experienced in similar Management Accountant roles.
• From a professional services background – beneficial but not essential.
• An analytical thinker with high attention to detail.
• An excellent Communicator.
• Strong and confident working with of Excel.
