Blair West are supporting a successful professional services business based in the north of England in their search or a Head of Technology to optimise the use of existing and emerging technologies to further propel business growth. Technology is now central to this sector and this role represents an exciting opportunity to innovate and drive efficiencies across the company. The business has grown significantly in recent years organically as well as via acquisitions and so experience integration newly acquired businesses would be valuable.

The opportunity:

• Working closely with the CEO and COO, you will ensure business success by strategically positioning Technology as a major business function.
• You will maintain a view on new and emerging technologies and drive innovative solutions using these technologies to take the business forward.
• You will lead a team of experienced and knowledgeable technologists, and coach and mentor them to deliver excellence at all times.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience working in senior Technology or IT roles. If this experience has been gained in a similar professional services business then that’s a bonus.
• Significant experience in people management, budgeting, technology operations, and project delivery. You will excel in a fast-moving busy environment.
• A deep understanding of experience managing Microsoft-based tech stacks. Azure, M365, Dynamics, etc.
• An innovative approach to technology with the creativity to use new advances in tech to deliver business growth, improved productivity and operational efficiencies.
• Experience of aligning newly acquired businesses, and integrating systems as required.
