As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the Executive Director of Finance will lead Everyturn’s financial strategy and operations, contributing to the collective decision-making of the Executive Team. This role ensures robust financial governance, alignment with the charity’s strategic goals, and oversight of both internal and external audit programs.

The opportunity:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Act as the principal financial advisor to the Board of Trustees, CEO, and Executive Team, providing expert guidance on financial risks, opportunities, and resource allocation.
- Deliver high-quality, timely financial information to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Define, implement, and monitor robust policies, systems, and processes for financial control and compliance.
- Develop and lead the financial and operational business plan to ensure the charity’s financial sustainability.
- Ensure that financial strategies align with and support organisational objectives.
- Evaluate and present business cases for future investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with Everyturn’s goals.
- You’ll maintain the confidentiality of information about clients, staff and organisational business in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Caldicott principles.
- Contribute to the promotion of staff wellbeing within the organisation.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- A qualification in accounting with evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Senior-level experience in financial leadership, including reporting to boards or executive teams.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver financial strategies in complex environments.
- Experience leading audits and implementing financial governance frameworks.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on operational efficiency and strategic resource management.
- Experience of working in fast-paced, high-growth organisations.
- Experience of working on complex bids and tenders.
