FP&A Lead (Remote)

Blair West are supporting an ambitious business with the appointment of an FP&A Lead reporting to the Group’s CFO.
This is a remote role (albeit working closely with the Executive team), with occasional travel to sites in the UK.

Working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will oversee all budgeting, forecasting and analysis. This is a standalone FP&A remit, so the incoming individual will be comfortable building financial models and developing the financial analytics suite. The business has plans to scale via acquisition, with the FP&A Lead supporting with due diligence, market analysis and deal completion.

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), with strong commercial acumen, ideally who has operated in a scaling group that has grown via M&A. The ability to perform to a high level in a largely remote based role is essential.

The opportunity:

• Develop and maintain the company’s financial models alongside the CFO.
• Lead on budgeting and forecasting activity.
• Analysis of financial performance vs business plan. Highlighting variances and commercial opportunities.
• Support CFO in preparation of board materials and investor packs.
• Business partner with key stakeholders and budget holders.
• Work with IT team to develop best in class reporting and analytical suite.
• Support M&A evaluation through modelling, synergy analysis and integration planning (where applicable).

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with strong post-qualification experience in FP&A or commercial finance.
• Advanced Excel / financial modelling capability.
• Familiarity with BI tools (ideally Power BI), with the ability to work with complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of the strategy of a PE backed organisation would be desirable.
