Blair West are delighted to be supporting Dyer Engineering in a retained search for a Management Accountant, in a newly created role following acquisitive growth in the business.
Reporting into the highly regarded Financial Controller, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, whilst also being responsible for the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for two of the Group’s operating entities; Dyer, and Q Laser.
The opportunity:
- Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including purchase and sales ledgers, VAT returns, and payroll.
- Owning the month-end process for two of the Group’s operating entities, including the production of full balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing monthly management accounts; including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow.
- Preparing and monitoring of Group-wide budgets and forecasts.
- Supporting with the development of Group-wide financial controls.
- Supporting the management team with strategic financial projects.
- Supporting the FC with the Group’s annual financial audit.
- Contributing to strategic financial analysis, performance tracking, and broader business planning.
- Supporting the Finance Team with ad-hoc strategic and operational projects.
- Supporting with any implementation of new financial software and/or processes.
- Assisting in the day-to-day running of a dynamic finance function.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you:
- Are part-qualified or fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/ICAS or equivalent).
- Have relevant industry finance experience (manufacturing experience is desirable, but not essential).
- Have experience in using financial software packages (ERP experience is desirable, but not essential).
- Have high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to problem solving.
- Have effective communication both written and oral.
- Are able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
