Blair West are supporting a leading IT services firm to find a Sales Manager.
This role sits within a well-established managed services provider with a strong client base across the North East.
As the business continues to grow, this position will play a vital part in leading new business activity, expanding customer relationships, and overseeing the performance of a developing sales team. This is a key appointment for the organisation as it strengthens its commercial footprint in the region.
The opportunity:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy for managed IT and MSP services, including cloud solutions, hosting, outsourcing, and service-level agreements.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across SME and enterprise clients.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects through outreach, proposals, negotiations, and contract closure.
- Meet and exceed sales revenue and margin targets for the team.
- Manage, mentor, and support a small team of sales executives, including setting targets and monitoring performance.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback for senior management.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- Experience in B2B sales within managed services, MSP, IT services, cloud, or technology-based environments.
- Understand of sales methodology inc. MEDDICC.
- A track record of winning new business and managing complex sales cycles.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to build tailored propositions.
- Experience coaching or developing salespeople, or readiness to step into a leadership role.
- Confidence in managing a pipeline, forecasting, and negotiating contracts.
