Blair West are supporting our client, a leading technology business, to find an M&A Executive. The business is continuing to pursue ambitious growth through strategic acquisitions.

This role sits within the Mergers & Acquisitions function, reporting directly to the Head of M&A. This is a key position that strengthens the origination and execution capability of the team, contributing directly to the wider buy-and-build strategy. The role is based in Team Valley with hybrid working in place.

The opportunity:

  • Conduct targeted market and desktop research to identify suitable acquisition opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality deal pipeline using CRM systems and lead-generation platforms.
  • Develop and deliver outbound engagement campaigns across email and LinkedIn to generate conversations.
  • Act as an initial point of contact for prospective sellers, representing the organisation with professionalism.
  • Support wider origination activity, including event follow-ups and management of market databases.
  • Assist with commercial and financial analysis as deals progress into exclusivity.
  • Contribute to project management throughout the acquisition process, helping ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Finance, Marketing, and C-suite stakeholders as required.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • A degree in business, humanities, or equivalent experience, with evidence of continued professional development.
  • A genuine interest in the technology sector and emerging market trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-oriented and highly organised approach.
  • A self-starter mindset with commercial awareness and resilience in prospecting-led environments.
  • High emotional intelligence and confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong research and analytical capability, with the appetite to develop advanced analytical and financial skills.
  • Financial acumen and an interest in building expertise in financial modelling over time.
  • Prior experience in finance, accounting, or M&A (advantageous but not essential).
