Chief Product & Technology Officer

Blair West are supporting an established Managed Service Provider to find their first Chief Product & Technology officer.

Our client is a well-established, owner-led MSP with a strong customer base and suite of innovative services spanning Cloud, Security, Data & Analytics, Connectivity, and Managed Services, and is in an exciting period of transformational growth. This newly-created CPTO position will play a pivotal role in shaping the business’s future, driving product and commercial innovation, and leading the technology agenda as the business scales.

The opportunity

• Establish and lead a Product function to enable the next phase of business growth.
• Oversee and align the company’s Technology function with strategic and commercial objectives.
• Own the development and execution of the company-wide product roadmap.
• Partner with the CEO and CRO to identify and capitalise on emerging market opportunities.
• Define bundled product offerings for consistent delivery, reporting, and commercial performance.
• Set and monitor key performance metrics across uptime, usage, churn, and financial outcomes.
• Build and develop a high-performing team and culture of accountability and innovation.
• Influence future M&A decisions and integration activities based on market capabilities and trends.
• Lead horizon scanning to identify new technologies and innovations that drive growth.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have

• A proven track record of Product leadership within the technology or managed services sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in product bundling, pricing, and subscription revenue models.
• The ability to engage credibly on complex technical architectures and product strategies.
• A solid understanding of product marketing, value proposition development, and solution selling.
• Experience in profitability analysis across diverse product lines and service components.
• A customer-centric approach combined with a focus on measurable business performance.
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
• Experience working in both large enterprises and scale-up environments.
• Deep knowledge of current and emerging technology trends.
• M&A integration experience (desirable).
