Finance Manager

Blair West are supporting a high-growth business to find a Finance Manager. This role has been created as part of the business’s next stage of development with the Finance Manager reporting directly to the FD.

Your role will see you play a key role in strengthening the financial foundations of the business, ensuring the right processes and systems are in place to support continued growth.

The opportunity:

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including managing a small finance team.
• Develop accurate, timely financial reporting supported by strong internal controls.
• Produce monthly management accounts, financial statements, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Work closely with project and operations teams to support project costing, budgeting, and performance tracking.
• Take ownership of WIP, job costing, and margin analysis across live projects.
• Assist with budgeting, reforecasting, and cashflow management.
• Support the year-end process, including statutory account preparation and liaising with external auditors.
• Collaborate with tax advisors on compliance and tax strategy implementation.
• Lead continuous improvements to financial systems, processes, and controls.
• Contribute to ERP system implementations and technology upgrades as needed.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in a hands-on industry finance role.
• A solid understanding of project accounting.
• Confidence in communicating with non-finance stakeholders across different functions.
• High-level Excel skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and commercial awareness.
• A proactive and energetic approach, with the ability to adapt and contribute beyond the job spec.
