BI/Data Analyst

Blair West is supporting a leading legal services provider in the North East to find a BI/Data Analyst.

This new role plays a key part within the data and analytics function, responsible for delivering actionable insights to drive performance and efficiency across the business.

Reporting into the wider IT and MI leadership, this opportunity offers the chance to shape and enhance the business’s intelligence infrastructure as part of an evolving data strategy.

The opportunity:

• Design, develop and maintain effective BI solutions to support business performance.
• Deliver MI reporting to monitor key KPIs across departments.
• Build robust tools and data pipelines to integrate with third-party systems.
• Partner with IT and internal stakeholders on key projects.
• Provide technical support for BI tools and liaise with third-party suppliers when necessary.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation post-implementation.
• Support training on new and updated BI tools as required.
• Play a key role in ensuring data governance and compliance with internal security policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvements by staying updated on BI technologies and trends.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

• Proven experience designing and deploying BI solutions in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and knowledge of XML/JSON and Python.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into meaningful insight.
• A detail-focused approach with creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on projects independently and collaboratively within teams
• Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of project methodologies and able to deliver to tight deadlines.
• Desirable: experience with Proclaim case management systems.
