Blair West are supporting an invested services business based in Peterlee looking to add a Revenue Assurance Analyst to their Financial Operations team in a newly created role.

Reporting into the Finance Operations Director, this individual will support the commercial and operational finance functions with key financial reporting and analysis, with a focus on process improvement and business partnering throughout the customer journey.

The opportunity:

  • Evaluate existing financial & operational processes to identify cash leakage, ensuring that all aspects are designed to maximise cash collection, including process improvement.
  • Utilise advanced analytical tools and techniques to work with complex data sets, producing actionable insights.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead and support on various projects aimed at improving cash flow and operational efficiency, beginning with a focus on the Accrued/Deferred Income process and suspense accounts within internal billing system.
  • Business partner with other departments to understand their processes and identify areas for enhancement that could impact revenue and cash flow.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to discover new opportunities for revenue assurance across the organisation.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • A law degree and are a qualified solicitor with at least four years PQE, gained either in-house or in private practice.
  • A proven track record of managing legal disputes, ideally within the construction or property development sector.
  • Experience handling complex litigation, including fire safety, cladding, and commercial contract disputes.
  • Strong ability to influence at senior levels, presenting legal risks and strategies clearly and persuasively.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to weigh legal outcomes against business goals.
  • Experience managing external counsel and legal budgets effectively.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes cases simultaneously.
  • A strong sense of professional integrity and resilience under pressure.
