Blair West are supporting a Space & Defence manufacturing business in recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a newly created role for the business with a development pathway and study support. You will assist the Management Accountant with accounts production for multiple entities, driving process efficiencies and supporting strategic decision making.

The opportunity:

• Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts for 4 key legal entities.
• Month-end balance sheet reconciliations – accruals & prepayments, bank, fixed assets etc.
• Bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Accounts receivable management and ensuring efficient posting of cash receipts.
• Supporting the day-to-day processes of the accounts department.
• Preparation of monthly cost analysis reports.
• Fixed asset register management.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

• Level 4 AAT or have embarked on CIMA/ACCA.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing organisation (desirable).
• Strong IT skills, particularly Excel.
• Previous experience with NetSuite (desirable).
• A strong and proactive mindset, with adaptability to change.
